OBJECTIVES
Together with my wife Alicia, I aim to raise my three children to be God fearing productive adults who will accomplish their goals. We also aim to grow the best food, feed and fiber possible, and to support and advocate for American farmers and ranchers by dedicating our voices and time to effectively communicate with policy makers and the public to advance agriculture. With having over 20 years of farming experience and having started and operated several farming and pesticide application businesses, I hope to use my expertise to advance agriculture for the benefit of ours and future generations.
EXPERIENCE
• I served two terms as Yuma County Farm Bureau President, one term as County VP and currently serve as Arizona Farm Bureau First Vice President.
• Since the Spring of 2017 I’ve enjoyed be appointed by Governor Doug Ducey to serve on the Arizona Department of Agriculture Advisory Board.
• Alicia and I have enjoyed over 20 years of working in production agriculture, in Arizona. We own and operate Desert Premium Farms, LLC and other affiliated businesses with our partners in Yuma. DPF grows fresh vegetables in the winter for six different fresh produce shippers. In addition to fresh produce and melons we also produce various other crops including wheat, alfalfa, seed crops, cotton, sudangrass and more. • I also served on the committee that transitioned parts of the Arizona Department of Agriculture into a more efficient and complete manager of pesticide regulation in our great state as the Office of Pest Management was merged into the Department.
